Group Operations Agent

Miki Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about the travel industry and motivated to join a growing organisation.

Our office in the City of London offers a multicultural environment and employs people with a diverse range of experience.

We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking to recruit a Group Operations Agent within our Asia Series Department

The role is designed to liaise with our office in Asia and ensure that all hotel amendments, reconfirmation requests and any rates are correct and up to date on our in-house computer system.

Main Responsibilities

  • To contact hotels (by email/fax/phone) to advise rooming lists, arrival times, meal requirements etc
  • Prioritise the workload according to deadlines, arrival dates etc based on hotel requests
  • Inputting and checking rates onto the in-house systemNegotiating other conditions such as cancellation policies, decrease of rooms and upgrades

  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident to work without supervision
  • Work effectively with a diverse team

 

Required Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience working in the travel industry or similar
  • Fluent in Italian
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Sound knowledge of MS office applications
