G Suite Technical Lead

We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.
About The Department
The ITS Team are responsible for enhancing and maintaining all Information and Technology requirements for all MIKI entities, both in Applications and Infrastructure.
Job Purpose
We are recruiting for the role of Lead JavaScript Developer, you will partner with business users and other IT teams to support and report to the IT Manager, to grow and mature the use of Google G Suite capabilities within the enterprise on our digital transformation journey. You will lead a team of two developer/BAs.
Main responsibilities:
- Establish in-house SDLC, policies, and technical solution design on the G Suite platform
- Propose Strategic roadmap for the G Suite platform
- Support the IT Manager with the adoption of Google Suite capabilities within the enterprise.
- Lead and facilitate enterprise rollout of custom solutions that integrate G Suite functionality and work productivity
- Partner with other IT functions to evaluate, prioritize and resolve new issues & problem scenarios
- Setup Google Data Studio, enable dashboards & reports, troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to improper or inadequate reporting
- Partner with IT Security & Audit to enforce strict cross platform security and audit controls
- Collaborate with other technical and functional teams to Document and support business rules, system operating procedures that pertain to the Google platform. Enhance documentation periodically for currency and relevance
- Act as the single point of contact for P1 and P2 incidents, perform business impact assessments, coordinate and carryout suitable resolution involving key technical teams including Google support. Provide problem resolution reports for management as required.
- Escalate support issues to Google Support, follow up and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Periodically analyse trouble tickets from lower tier teams, identify gaps, create and carryout new solutions, document and train technical support staff globally.
Skills and Experience
Relevant Skills /Characteristics
Essential
- Must have strong JavaScript development and test scripting experience at least 5 years
- Must have strong knowledge of G Suite Development and be able to mentor team members
- Must have a strong approach to solution design and be able to build stable re-usable solutions
- Must be a self-starter, with good time management skills, able to manage multiple activities simultaneously while requiring little or no oversight and/ or direction.
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving skills with ability to apply new technologies, concepts, & functionality to solve problems and implement solutions.
- Must comprehend relationship between company policies, business & technical processes and procedures
- Must be able to create design documents, system operating procedures & FAQs
Desirable
- Knowledge of Google App Maker platform
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and integrations of G Suite to GCP environment and services
