Senior Credit Controller

 

Miki Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about the travel industry and motivated to join a growing organisation.

Our office in the City of London offers a multicultural environment and employs people with a diverse range of experience.

We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.

 

Job Purpose

Reporting to Credit Control Manager, the Senior Credit Controller is accountable for the credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers with a goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage customer credit files.
  • Monitor the credit granting and updating process.
  • Accept or reject credit recommendations
  • Monitor periodic credit reviews.
  • Monitor deductions being taken by customers
  • Maintain the corporate credit policy.
  • Supervise the credit control assistants
  • Measure section performance with appropriate metrics
  • Manage relations with credit reporting agencies and credit insurance providers
  • Manage relations with the sales department
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts including bad debt provision, customer control account, after date credit notes
  • Respond to external and internal stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Provide EC sales figures for Financial Control

 

Skills and Experience

Required Experience/Knowledge:

Essential

  • 3 years Credit Control Experience
  • Strong communication skills and conflict resolution experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Educated to GCSE minimum
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and accounting Software

 

Desirable

  • 1 years of management experience  
  • A team player with a flexible approach and willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Strong organisational & time keeping skills
  • Ability to recognise potential risks to the business that should be escalated
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines

 

With 50 years’ experience in the wholesale travel industry, Miki Travel offers an exciting international working environment and you will be based in our contemporary offices in central London near to Mansion House, Cannon Street and Bank Underground stations.
