About the Department

The FIT Department are in charge of making hotel reservations for our global FIT client base throughout Europe and the America's. We make reservations and handle a variety of scenarios ranging from special requests for VIP clients to resolving complaints. We liaise with hotels and our internal teams to coordinate a satisfactory stay for customers.

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking to recruit a Reservations Agent within our FIT department

To book hotel accommodation for our global FIT client base using our in-house systems. As a B2B wholesaler your main point of contact will be with our hotel suppliers & internally with our sales teams. We are not dealing directly with clients. You are expected to accurately complete a high volume of work within set deadlines as well as show good negotiation skills. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with professional telephone manner & accurate writing skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate with hotels and provide worldwide sales team with up to date booking information
  • Negotiate prices and conditions with some hotels as well resolve booking issues and complaints directly with hotels
  • Negotiate compensation or refunds as and when required
  • Load accurate rates and booking details into the in-house system
  • Provide suitable alternatives as and when required
  • Produce accurate documents/reports
  • Process deposits/refunds
  • Prioritise workload according to deadlines

Required Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Travel industry background
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications

Desirable

  • Fluent in German
