About the Department
The Asia Series Department handles Groups coming from Asia travelling around Europe, with same itineraries and different departures spread over a certain period of time. The Department handles the whole booking process and each staff has own areas of responsibilities as well as supporting the rest of the Team as and when needed.
Job Purpose
We are currently seeking to recruit a Groups Operations Agent within our Asia Series Department
The role is designed to liaise with our office in Asia and ensure that all hotel amendments, reconfirmation requests and any rates are correct and up to date on our in-house computer system.
Main Responsibilities
- To contact hotels (by email/fax/phone) to advise rooming lists, arrival times, meal requirements etc.
- Prioritise the workload according to deadlines, arrival dates etc based on hotel requests
- Inputting and checking rates onto the in-house system
- Negotiating other conditions such as cancellation policies, decrease of rooms and upgrades.

- Professional telephone manner
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Confident to work without supervision
- Work effectively with a diverse team
Required Experience/Knowledge
Essential
- Experience working in the travel industry or similar
- Fluent in French
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
- Sound knowledge of MS office applications
