MIKI Travel Limited has been established since 1967. Our long established presence in the travel market has brought us from strength to strength, here are a few key moments in our history:
Founded in 1967
MIKI Travel Ltd was founded with offices in London and Tokyo, originally to operate the incoming Japanese leisure market into Europe
Starting with Paris and Rome a network of 15 affiliated offices was set up throughout Europe.
Went on to sell Europe to the rest of the world.
Opening of 9 further offices in Europe. (24 in total)
Extended our portfolio of products to destinations in Middle East and Africa, + online system developed.
Launch of REX – online hotel reservation system.
Opening of our consultation and information centre for the individual traveller.
First direct interface project completed.
Direct contracting of hotels in Asia and Far East commenced.
Celebration of MIKI’s 40th anniversary.
US Sales office opened. Hotel contracts in India and Australia released.
Direct contracting of US hotels commenced Completion of 236th interface worldwide
