We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.

About the Department

The Contracts and Purchasing team are responsible for sourcing the European Hotel product for both its group and individual (FIT) leisure segments. This involves contracting and managing rates, availability and general terms and conditions with hotels. Additionally we are responsible for the contracting of local service arrangements in some destinations in Europe. We manage relationships with suppliers and provide support to other departments.

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking to recruit a Local Agent Coordinator within our Contracts & Purchasing Department to be based in our London office.

The Local Agent Coordinator will be responsible to operate tours in local agent areas and liaise between sales and local agents.

Skills and Experience

         Main Responsibilities

  • Obtain and distribute supplier and destination information data           
  • Arrange technical visits                                                  
  • Confirm and co-ordinate arrangements with suppliers                 
  • Input confirmations onto the system                                 
  • Finalise tour arrangements and costs                                
  • Work with quotations co-operating closely with sales and purchasing       
  • Assist with tour coordination by liaising with tour leaders and offices in Japan                                                                          
  • Work with local agents to obtain the best prices for coaches, restaurants, tours, hotels, rail journeys etc.                                               

Relevant Skills/Characteristics

  • Patience and attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately under time pressure
  • Positive Customer oriented attitude

Required Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Some experience in incoming operations, ideally in wholesale environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications

Desirable

  • Fluent in Japanese – Spoken and written
